And They’re Off! The Race Across America is Officially Underway

The Race Across America has begun! Brett and the crew were the first of the solo racer squad for the Race Across America (RAAM) to depart Oceanside, CA. The crew was up late last night making sure all the gear was packed up and that all members were trained in bicycle maintenance and first aid. The first time station is Borrego Springs, CA which the squad expects to reach later tonight. Between the starting line and Borrego Springs, however, is nearly 9,000 feet of climb… so lots of mountain views (and sore legs) will be coming soon!
